I wonder if in another 20 years or so our campuses won’t become places where people only periodically come together to socialize face-to-face with their colleagues from all over the world with whom they’ve studied and conducted research via ICTs. Perhaps they’ll come for ceremonies or comprehensive examinations, or as undergraduates for the “boutique experience” of living in community.
